It was crucial that the extension was sympathetic to the original dwelling house, and the details such as the use of different style leaded windows and lattice brick work with timber frame oak beams has made an enormous difference in ensuring the extension blends with the original house and the proposed architectural plans submitted to local Planning Department will be granted.

We were very delighted for the client with the results from the local Planning Department that everything that client asked for and wanted was granted.

Following with the second stage for the project preparing technical architectural plans for submission to Building Control, first, we obtained structural calculations to support the open plan kitchen and dining room and new bedroom with an en-suite on the first floor.

We incorporated all structural details produced by our structural engineer into the technical plans with all the elements for building the structure to comply with Building Regulations.

It was complex and unusual work which was completed and our very happy client is enjoying this amazing addition with their family including a naughty dog.
